installing 3rd party comps fails

I am a Delphi 7 user and recently installed 2006, and when I try to install
any third party comps (which are D2006 versions) it always gives errors as
not finding vcl, vcldb...etc packages, what can I do, what am I missing,

One thing you could do is report what the exact error messages are, and
when they occur.
