I have just purchased this and when I run the download it is not a fresh
install but rather seems to want to modify my Delphi 2007 installation.
Should I proceed with this?

Yes -- it is trying to give you Update 3 -- which was released a few
days ago.

I had already installed update 3. However I took a risk and did an uninstall
and then re-installed it and all my old components were there.

This could have been documented!

Hmm. Then I'm not sure what happened in your case. What, exactly, was
it asking you to do?

It was working exactly the same as the D2007 install. If I tried to modify
the installation it didn't have any BDS options.

You want to run the upgrade option.
