Hello,

I tried to install Delphi 2007 SP3 this morning.
The update has removed Delphi 2007 SP0..SP2.
Then I got the message: Retry Extraction? Download a fresh copy of the
installation data. or Try to extract the existing download data again.

How can I pass this message box ?

Thanks,

Hubert Anemaat

Hello,

The Delphi 2007 SP3 installer has deleted Delphi 2007 SP2. How can I get
up and running in 5 minutes with Delphi 2007 SP2 ?

Thanks,

Hubert

You cannot.

Place the CodeGearRADStudio2007setup.exe that you downloaded for the
Update #3 and put it in an empty directory.
Then run it to install Delphi 2007 for Win32 Update #3 (it will take a
while)..

I did. The setup stopped with a message dialog "Retry Extraction?
Download a fresh copy of the installation data. or Try to extract the
existing download data again."

The only way to continue was to cancel this message dialog. The setup
program stopped. I tried running the setup again, but it ends in this
message dialog. The setup has deleted Delphi 2007 from my harddisk.

As far as I see now, is to install the original DVD and update it up to SP2.

OK, in that case, you need to remove the previous downloaded data from
your disk (the update cache).

If you run Windows other than Vista, go to

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data

and look for directories with nams that look like GUIDs. There will be
one or two related to CodeGear RAD Studio 2007 on your system. If you
find evidence that it contains CodeGear related stuff inside, delete
that directory.

Then, go back to the empty directory with CodeGearRADStudio2007setup.exe
inside and run it again. This time, no previous files will be found, so
a real fresh copy will be downloaded for you.

No, you really don't have to do that.
